CONNECTED HHI is a technology services company serving businesses and non-profits on Hilton Head Island and the surrounding Lowcountry. Network reliability, failover, and cybersecurity have been our biggest services while our managed IT services have grown substantially in the past 3 years. Our Always-On Network offering is protecting restaurants, retail businesses, and offices from internet outages, keeping their businesses running while Spectrum and Hargray get services restored. Our Sophos-based cybersecurity services are protecting manufacturing, services, and medical businesses protected from internet-based malware, viruses, and ransomware. And we added support for Verizon’s One Talk IP phone service as a natural extension of our networking and Always-On Network. This allows us to offer our business customers a phone service that stays up, even when their Hargray or Spectrum connections are down.
In 2018, we launched our managed IT service based on Barracuda’s remote monitoring and management framework. We now offer proactive monitoring and management of business networks, computers, and peripherals for our business customers. Each step in the journey has been based on needs identified by our customers to improve reliability, reduce costs, and minimize surprises.
Starting in 2019 we began to invest more and more of our time on Cybersecurity issues as threats became more numerous and more professional. Our responses included expanding our defensive and analytical capabilities, broadening our product offerings, and investing more time researching and educating ourselves and our clients. Our education, medical and financial services clients have led the way due to regulatory requirements, but we are seeing broader interest in cybersecurity protection across our client base.
